A Plan Built Around You

Weight is shaped by many factors — genetics, metabolism, hormones, medications, medical conditions, sleep, stress, and lifestyle. It's rarely as simple as eating less and moving more, and it's never a matter of willpower.

At Schine Health, we treat weight management as what it is: a medical issue that deserves a medical approach. Our providers take time to understand your full health picture and work with you to build a realistic, individualized plan — one you can actually live with.

What Your Care May Include

Every plan is different. Depending on your health history and goals, your care may include any combination of the following:

Comprehensive medical evaluation and health history review
Assessment of weight-related health conditions (diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, and more)
Nutrition and lifestyle counseling tailored to your life
Realistic, individualized weight-loss goals
Regular follow-up visits and progress monitoring
Prescription weight-management medications when medically appropriate
Ongoing treatment adjustments based on results, side effects, and your goals
Long-term weight maintenance as part of your ongoing primary care

GLP-1 Medications — When They're Right for You

For patients who qualify, GLP-1 and GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonists — including semaglutide (Wegovy®, Ozempic®) and tirzepatide (Zepbound®, Mounjaro®) — can be a powerful part of a medically supervised weight-management plan. These medications work by reducing appetite and improving how your body regulates blood sugar.

Medication is one tool within a comprehensive plan — not the entire program. Whether it's appropriate for you depends on your individual health history, medical needs, and goals. We evaluate this together, carefully.

Medications we may discuss

  • Semaglutide (GLP-1)Wegovy®, Ozempic®
  • Tirzepatide (GIP/GLP-1)Zepbound®, Mounjaro®
  • Other FDA-approved optionsBased on your medical needs

Eligibility for prescription medications is determined individually based on your health history and medical needs.

What Does It Cost?

Billed to insuranceProgram visits
Typically $0–copay onlyOut-of-pocket for visits
Starting at $99/moMedication (partner pharmacy)

There is no separate program fee for medical weight management at Schine Health. Office visits are billed to your insurance just like any other primary care visit — most patients have little to no out-of-pocket cost for the visits themselves.

If prescription weight-management medication is part of your plan, medication costs vary depending on your insurance coverage. For patients using our partner pharmacy, medications are available starting at $99 per month — paid directly to the pharmacy, not to Schine Health.

We'll walk you through your options at your visit so you know exactly what to expect before starting any medication.

More Than a Number on the Scale

Excess weight is a complex medical condition — not a personal failure. Our goal isn't simply to help you lose pounds. It's to improve your overall health, reduce your risk of weight-related conditions like heart disease and type 2 diabetes, and help you feel better in your body.

We focus on building a plan you can realistically maintain over time — with a primary care team that knows you, supports you, and adjusts your care as your needs change.
